So we've officially begun our summer trip with our 12 hour drive from Montreal to Halifax and are now seeing the sites and relaxing in this lovely little city by the sea. Our drive on the twelfth was beautiful. Although Noah has done it a bunch of times, the only times I have driven through New Brunswick have been at night. We took a few side trips, one along the "valley route" by the river in Fredericton and another to see the longest covered bridge in the world (I know you are probably super jealous dad). We stopped at the country-style in Woodstock, NB for sunriser sandwiches (our new tradition) and the girl working the counter was so friendly and so nice (which is why we always stop there.
Yesterday we went to Crystal Crescent beach and Noah got super sunburnt and today we went bouldering at Chebucto Head for my FIRST climbing outside. It was super scary but also a ton of fun and a great intro to what we will hopefully be doing a whole lot for this summer.
Still looking for a lobster shack/seaside fish-and-chips place to visit so if anyone has any suggestions please comment!
These are some photos of the bridge...
